Why the Yankees should take a chance on Manny Ramirez

Could the next installment of Manny being Manny be coming to the Bronx?

Throughout the last couple of weeks, the Yankees have been struggling to score some runs. Right now they are 21st in runs, 26th in batting average and 23rd in Slugging Percentage. Despite all of the injuries that they suffered earlier in the season, they are just 2.5 games back in the American League East. The Yankees need a shot in the arm and Manny Ramirez may be just the guy to do it.

Despite his antics, Ramirez is considered to be one of the best players to ever play the game. He has 555 career home runs and is a 12-time All Star. Despite him being 41 years old, in 49 games, Ramirez batted .352 with eight home runs and 43 RBI’s, placing him in the top three in all categories. He can be a temporary solution until the return of the star players. For a team that needs offense badly, he could be the one that can deliver.

If the Yankees want to make it to the playoffs, they may need to sign Ramirez for the rest of the season. For now “Manny Being Manny” is on hiatus.

  1. Hey Kenny, it’s Bri! Even though, I’m not a huge fan of baseball or basketball I like the fact that you stated the history behind why they raised the tickets and the history behind why families love baseball so much. It’s great that you state your facts and opinions about both sports. You should advertise your blog site more often on the social media websites. I’m sure everyone will love them. I’ll definitely spread the word around about your website!
